Mice Problem

June 15, 2020

Dear residents,

There has been multiple reports of mice problems in different units. Please note that all our attics are all connected and it is difficult to trace where they are from. To protect your home, please make sure that your trash cart is closed so they could not get in for food. Also you could check exteriors and fix any small holes that could lead them in.

Final Rental Clause

May 22, 2020

Hello Homeowners,

Follow up from what we discussed in the last annual HOA meeting, attached is the amendment to our HOA by-laws that needs your immediate attention and response.

This amendment places a maximum number of rental units at 30% of the total units in the neighborhood. ( 197*.30=59 maximum rental units). The present number of rentals is 58.

Savannah Ridge was built to provide single family housing at affordable prices in a great location and the continued increase in the number of rentals is not consistent with that goal.

Experience has shown that a proliferation of rental units results in a decrease of the home values, a lack of ownership pride and care from non-owner occupants, and increased non-compliance with the neighborhood covenants and regulations.

Accordingly, it is in the best interests of all the homeowners to limit the number of rental units.

A special homeowners meeting has been called for June 18th  via online technology through Zoom or webex at 7:00 p.m. But you don’t need to wait until this online meeting- VOTE NOW!

Prior to this meeting, please vote in favor of this amendment with the form attached and returning to the HOA in one of the following ways:

  1. Scan and email to savannahridge35244@gmail.com

  2. Mail to P.O.Box 360927, Birmingham, AL 35236

This is a very important amendment and we need the cooperation and participation of every homeowner- please reply and register your vote for approval. We appreciate your input.

COVID-19 Pandemic

April 02, 2020

We understand this is a rapidly changing time during the pandemic. Governor Ivy has issued a “stay-at-home” order, aiming to restrict nonessential activities and non-work related gatherings. For your own safety, when you are walking/running in the neighborhood, please be mindful and practice physical distancing with six-feet separation from each other. We also recommend to stock one to two weeks worth of food (nonperishable preferably) at a time to reduce the frequency of grocery shopping and risk of exposure. If you need any additional help, please let us know.

You could also text “BHMCOVID” to 888-777 (rates applied) to get some updates and tips. This is an account set up by city of Birmingham to send out updates for local residents.
